An unbelievable set of early issues of the landmark publishing feat that was Fortune Magazine. Founded by Henry Luce at the outset of the Great Depression in 1929, Fortune published not only articles on business, but also art, culture and other topics for the "discerning reader." Known for it's lavish art direction and advertisements by General Motors, Ford, and who can forget the Alcoa Company adds that always featured an aluminum sheen. One would hardly known the Great Depression was at full throttle.
